Commercial Vinyl Flooring Project for Supermarket in USA

Commercial Supermarket Vinyl Flooring Project in the United States

Project Overview

  • Project Name: Commercial Supermarket Vinyl Flooring Project
  • Location: United States
  • Completion Date: May 2026
  • Product Used: Commercial-Grade LVT Flooring
  • Application Areas: Main shopping aisles, fresh-food sections and checkout zones

Project Details

Our team partnered with a retail client in the United States to upgrade the flooring system of a commercial supermarket. Due to heavy daily foot traffic and frequent rolling loads from shopping carts, the client required a durable, slip-resistant and easy-to-maintain flooring solution.

We supplied commercial-grade LVT flooring designed for busy retail environments. The flooring combines reliable dimensional stability, wear resistance, stain resistance and practical daily maintenance, making it suitable for supermarket aisles, fresh-food areas and checkout zones.

Key Project Highlights

  1. Commercial Wear Performance: The flooring achieved a T/P wear-resistance classification and is designed to withstand regular foot traffic and shopping-cart movement in commercial retail environments.
  2. R9 Slip Resistance: Tested according to DIN 51130, the flooring achieved an R9 slip-resistance rating, supporting safer daily use in shopping areas.
  3. Dimensional Stability: The flooring passed tests for dimensional stability, squareness, straightness and curling, helping maintain a stable and consistent installed surface.
  4. Stain-Resistant Surface: The surface showed no observable change during the stain-resistance test, making regular supermarket cleaning and maintenance easier.
  5. Tested Material Safety: The flooring passed the applicable volatile matter test, while residual vinyl chloride monomer, soluble lead, soluble cadmium and formaldehyde were reported as not detected.
  6. Fire-Retardant Performance: The tested flooring achieved a fire-retardant result of B1 (B-s1), as stated in the corresponding test data sheet.
